"I travel to many locations to gather information for paintings and depend quite a lot on internet weather forecasts, particularly as areas such as Fort William and Braemar seem to have an ecosystem of their own.
I especially like the variety of weather conditions that the autumn to spring months presents in the West Highlands, Grampian and Perthshire locations. This gives me the opportunity to use all the warm friendly earth colours that I like and allows me to work in a midge free environment."
