The Jetty Gallery

"Born and raised on a farm in West Lothian, I was always fascinated by the flora and fauna of the surrounding countryside and farmland. I would spend hours exploring and observing everything from frog spawn to frost patterns and developed a deep interest in nature. This love of wildlife has always stayed with me and now forms the basis of almost all my artwork.
The majority of my work depicts native Scottish wildlife. I spend much of my time outdoors observing and recording the rich variety of species we are surrounded by here in this amazing country. From the many waders that scour our shorelines to the red squirrels of the highland forests, I am so inspired by the character and beauty of the natural world. The changing weather, light and seasons provide endless variation and challenges. I strive always to just try and capture a fraction of the beauty of the natural world I see around me."
